You might recognize these two cuties from our Autumn Orchard Romance Styled Shoot and when Katelyn first saw their names lettered on the invitation suite that day, she teared up. Little did she know that Matt would plan the most romantic proposal leading up to their own wedding day!

It was Matt’s idea to concoct a reason for him and Katelyn to be in front of the camera again, ensuring that she would be camera ready and totally unsuspecting! We decided on a styled anniversary session and even faked a reason for them to bring their cute pup, Sam, along! Katelyn and I found the absolute perfect dress, chatted hair and makeup, and set a time to shoot at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. After a few minutes of shooting, I put Katelyn in the spot Matt and I had discussed and asked her to look straight ahead while I “got some head-to-toe shots of her dress.” When Matt dropped to one knee, I quietly waited for him to gather his thoughts and asked Katelyn to turn around and throw her arms over his shoulders. The rest doesn’t need an explanation because the raw emotion and pure joy tells the rest of the story beautifully!
