Wow, 2020.

At the start of this year, nobody would have expected just how these past ten months would turn out. We could never have anticipated the joy and pain that Covid-19 would bring or how resilient we would be in the face of it. I think we’re all a little relieved that the clock will strike midnight and we’ll welcome a new year tonight, yes?

If I’m being honest, only half of me feels that relief. 2020 has been a season of incredible change in my business and in our family. I’m sure I don’t stand alone in feeling grateful for all the silver linings and gifts from this season! There has been heartbreak like we’ve never faced but so much happiness to quickly light that darkness.

For these eighteen (!!!) couples, that light was extraordinarily bright! These sweet people chose to push through, press forward, and commit their lives to each other. In what is likely one of the most difficult years to navigate marriage, they made the decision to do it together, hand in hand, from the very start.

I hope that if you remember anything from 2020, it’s that genuine delight was here. It was felt and celebrated and honored, frozen in these images. These smiles and tears are some of my very favorite of all time and I hope you will enjoy looking back on them as much as I have.

To my 2020 couples, you inspire me.

Never ever ever in my business have I experienced what I did this year. The personal and professional triumph you all have gifted me is one of the greatest joys of my career, likely my lifetime.

Thank you for taking me with you and thank you for allowing me the honor to stand with you on your best, hardest, and most memorable days.
