There were two very serious things that happened within ten days of Soren & Eric’s wedding… 1. We met for the very first time face to face and 2. It snowed in the Berkshires. Both had the potential to be somewhat disastrous, but it made the joy of an amazing instant friendship and the perfect spring day that much more powerful!
In conversation with Soren leading up to their wedding day, I knew I adored her and Eric. Despite living fairly close to each other and not meeting in person until a week before their day, I felt like I knew them so well because they had the most amazing wedding website! It described their relationship and detailed Eric’s perfect private beach proposal. I knew I really loved them because the last line was “They didn’t leave until the seals were finished back flipping in jubilation.” Can’t you just feel how elated they were to be engaged?! Much like the love they shared on their wedding day, it was so magnetic!
I was already crazy excited to photograph these two and then I met their families and friends. Loving, kind, invested in Soren and Eric in such an emotionally tangible way. The toasts at the reception had me crying behind the lens (not much of a surprise there)! Like every every fern and wild green placed delicately around their reception space, they were thoughtful and intentional. Nothing less than wedding day magic!
Soren and Eric, you two are simply delightful and I am still so honored to have been a part of your wedding celebration. I hope you’re enjoying Mexico, Schroeders! Congratulations!
