A friend recently asked me if weddings are just weddings after shooting so many, after spending weekend after weekend with other people’s families and friends? I told him no, that every couple is wildly different from the others, that each wedding is unique in its own way and that, as cheesy as I knew it sounded, each story I’m capturing is one that can’t be replicated.
Catherine & Eric’s wedding day was one of my favorite examples of this! With an eleven hour timeline to share with them, I had an extraordinary amount of time to spend documenting some of the most beautiful moments and details I’ve ever seen. At the very start of the day, as I photographed all of Cat’s “something olds”, she stood close by and said “there’s so much history in that photo.” Days later, I still wonder if she saw me tear up and turn away for a second so as not to cry all over her heirloom handkerchiefs. That one sentence set the tone for the day’s celebration and it was one I won’t soon forget!
Congratulations, Rosenthals! I hope you’re having a blast in Italy!
A big thank you to the team of vendors who made this day extraordinary!
